Coach's Corner

Jeff Anderson, CEO

The seasons are changing.

Normally you’d think that I was talking about the weather - winter, spring, summer and fall. But, in our world, we’re thinking about pre-season, regular season, and post-season.

As founder and CEO of Quick Hit, I wanted to build a company that combined my passion for gaming, sports and new media into one place, creating an environment for sports enthusiasts, “where the season never ends.” Having spent the past 15 years working in the games space, I saw a major void in the market for casual, online sports games that provided a strategically challenging, visually rich, yet easy-to-play experience – and where there’s a void, there is always an opportunity.

And so, the premise behind Quick Hit began – to develop the world’s most innovative online, interactive sports games by offering head-to-head competition that combine the graphical appeal of console, the accessibility of Flash, and the wide appeal of fantasy sports. Couple these fast-paced, exciting games with a “Facebook-like” social community, exclusively for sports, and you have the ultimate online sports universe.

We are at the center of an exploding market, where online games and entertainment are projected to be a $2 billion market and growing rapidly. The convergence of media brings an abundance of opportunities and promise to companies like Quick Hit. At the core, we are a team of innovators and entrepreneurs and we see gaming as yet another means of community building. We are developing our social network with all of the Web 2.0 technologies in mind – video, interactive chat, streaming media, blogs, forums and more. Our network of members will be bound together by their love of sports and their thirst for sports content and community.

Quick Hit is changing the way people engage in sports online. We’ve created a whole new playbook that is sure to bring sports fan something they have long awaited. It’s my privilege to be the “head coach” of a team that I know will go down in sports history. We are always striving for the perfect season at Quick Hit, so if you have feedback or thoughts on how we might improve our site or our games, please contact us .
